"Even if something is left undone,

everyone must take time to sit still and watch the leaves turn."   -Elizabeth Lawrence

Fall is one of my most favorite seasons.  I love to see the leaves change color and to feel the days and nights get cooler.  Last weekend was beautiful so we took advantage of the nice weather and went out on the boat for the weekend.  We went to Friday Harbor and had a nice time walking around the town and having a yummy dinner.  We are keeping our boat in the water year round so we will be able to take a trip or just a cruise whenever the weather allows.

Miranda & I in the skeleton of a whale.  It was huge!!!

When we were cruising back to our marina, we passed this group of seals laying on a sand bar.
September 11th was Miranda's 3rd Birthday. We celebrated with a cake that she picked out by herself. It is supposed to be the decoration for a baby shower cake, but as soon as she saw the baby she had to have that one!! She was so excited!!!

Making sure baby is icing-free!!!
A few weekends ago we went to the Seattle Boat Show, which is in the water on Lake Union. It was a beautiful day to look at beautiful boats. One of the special boats there was the "Sea Star", a crabbing boat featured on "The Deadliest Catch". It was neat being able to walk through and to see all the equipment up close.

Yeah, finally an update!!!!! We wait to long for these on the east coast!!! Loved the birthday cake Miss Miranda. The view of the mountain in the background with the snow on it is breathtaking. I am so envious that you got to board a crab boat from the deadliest catch. Miss you all,
Love,
V.
