Our Bahamas Vacation

We spent last week at The Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The weather was sunny, warm and perfect the whole trip and we had a great time. The resort has so many things to see and do. The one pool area is called the Mayan Temple and has a slide called the Leap of Faith. Ian rode it a couple of times, but I was too chicken to try it. Here is a video of Ian taking a trip down the slide and you will see why I didn't want to ride it!

There was another tube ride that took you through an enclosed glass tunnel completely submerged within a large shark tank. Here I am going through:

Ian and Jenna seem to like waterfalls in the Bahamas! Here they are in March 2004 (Jenna was 7 months old) and last week. Jenna enjoyed it a lot more this time!

"Unlike any other place on earth, Atlantis is home to the world's largest open-air marine habitat, second only to Mother Nature. The resort's 34-acre waterscape comprises 11 million gallons of fresh and saltwater. Eleven exhibit lagoons contain more than 50,000 fascinating sea creatures representing over 250 species."
Here are a few of the sea creatures we viewed during our trip:
A Manta Ray, which could have a wing span of 25 feet and could weigh 6,600 pounds!

Jenna and the giant Grouper

Jenna was able to help feed the turtles and the sting rays!

And Jenna even got to see Santa while we were there!!

Another fun-filled, memorable vacation for the Sale Family!
